Excision and reconstruction for skin cancers and benign skin lesions.
Dr Doherty performs surgery for skin cancers of all types, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma, as well as benign lesions and cysts. Depending on the lesion and its location, reconstruction may range from simple direct closure to local flaps and skin grafts.
Most skin cancer surgery attracts a Medicare rebate, and many excisions are performed under local anaesthetic as a day procedure. Histopathology results are reviewed with you at follow-up.
